Any woman expecting a marriage proposal on Valentines Day could be in for disappointment if they’re expecting diamonds, reveals a new survey from Post Office® Home Insurance.
According to the survey, nearly half of all men consider up to £500 to be a fair price for a ring. This appears to differ from most women’s’ expectations, with over half believing that up to £2000 is a more realistic amount.

Post Office® Head of Home Insurance Phil Ashkuri said: "Many women could be in for something of a shock this Valentines day, as it seems they have different expectations from us men when it comes to engagement rings!
