And with snowboarding becoming increasingly popular, Churchill Insurance is warning participants of the potential dangers. Research** shows that snowboarders are still twice as likely as skiers to sustain serious injuries on the slopes. The street-style clothing favoured by many snowboarders means they are less protected from falls than skiers from injuries and are also more likely to suffer from ailments such as hypothermia and sunburn.
