Holidaying to excess
**Research carried out by ICM Research between 3 and 5 August 2005 amongst 626 adults in the UK who have been on a foreign holiday in the past three years. Whilst the average cost of an outbound suitcase stands at 1,307 for a woman and 1,004 for a man***, the survey results 71 show that return suitcases increased in value on average by 170 with goodies holidaymakers purchased when abroad.* This means holidaymakers experiencing a lost luggage dilemma may be shocked that it's not only their new clothes that they're missing, but they could end up out of pocket if underinsured.
