Unsafe homes exposed
Privilege Insurance now offers home insurance and guarantees to beat any renewal quote for those who have had four claim free years. Despite the major gap between perceptions and reality about household security, almost nine in 10 (89 per cent) of those quizzed believe that homeowners that do take safety precautions seriously, such as fitting locks, alarms, and other measures should pay lower insurance premiums. Over 50 Tradesmen
The study also shows that just 15% of people think a younger tradesman is more reliable, compared to over three and a half times that amount who say that they can depend on someone over 50. Andrew Goodsell, Chief Executive, Saga, commented, Older tradespeople make up a large proportion of the UK workforce and are a group that are set to increase as we continue to work longer. It seems that people do value experience when it comes to tradesmen, the survey also suggests that age equates to better manners and a higher level of trust, this is a very positive thing for older tradesmen in the UK.
